Treatment of chronic venous insufficiency in the Ust-Kachka sanatorium

The duration of treatment of chronic venous insufficiency depends on the severity of the disease. Basically, a positive result can be achieved with the help of drug therapy, but sometimes surgical intervention is resorted to. In combination with medical treatment, a number of other measures should be taken to improve the quality of life of the patient. It is necessary to pay special attention to lifestyle, sports have a positive impact on the fight against the disease. In addition, elastic compression is recommended.

Physiotherapy procedures that can be performed in sanatoriums also have a positive effect. Such procedures as diadynamic currents, electrophoresis, laser, magnetic field are especially useful. Also in sanatorium conditions it is possible to attend various sports activities, such as swimming, running, walking, which have a great positive effect on the recovery process.

After carrying out the necessary procedures, there is a restoration of blood outflow in the veins. Clinical manifestations of the disease disappear: fatigue in the legs passes, a feeling of heaviness, night cramps cease to bother.

Consequences of lack of treatment

If the disease is not treated, it leads to varicose veins. The outflow of blood is disrupted, there is an overload of the venous system. The result: severe edema, up to the formation of trophic ulcers. Another danger is phlebitis (inflammation of the veins and the formation of blood clots in them). Blood clots can also get into the pulmonary arteries.
