Siphon intestinal washings with mineral brominated water

This procedure is often used for functional disorders of the intestine.

Bromine-iodine water with a mineralization of 6.0-8.0 mg/dm3 is used for the procedure. The patient is lying on his back with his legs bent at the knees. A rectal intestinal probe is inserted to a depth of 12 cm. The tip of the probe is treated with vaseline.
After filling the intestine, water is removed from it by switching the tap through the same probe.
0.5-1.0 liters of water can be injected simultaneously in 3-5 doses. The course of treatment is up to 4 procedures.

Indications for use

This procedure is effective for various functional bowel diseases, chronic duodenitis, colitis and enterocolitis of various etiologies outside the acute phase, except for stenosing, ulcerative and bacterial, parasitic forms.

Contraindications

The procedure cannot be performed with enterocolitis with severe malnutrition, cachexia, chronic dysentery, ulcerative colitis, bleeding hemorrhoids and intestinal polyposis. And also with all forms of jaundice, frequent attacks of cholelithiasis, cirrhosis of the liver and chronic hepatitis.
