In July of this year, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation announced that it was returning a 10-ruble note to circulation again. For AMAKS, this news is more than pleasant, but why?
Most likely, you did not know, but the AMAKS City Hotel Krasnoyarsk is depicted on a 10-ruble bill, which, by the way, according to the statement of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, is returning to circulation!
They say that when the design of banknotes was being developed in the early 90s, there was a lot of controversy. As a result, a fundamentally different series of banknotes went to work. The author of the drawings, the artist of the State Sign, Igor Krylkov called it "From Moscow to the outskirts." The design of the banknotes turned out to be so successful that it was not changed even during the 1998 denomination – they simply removed the "extra" zeros.
How did our hotel get on the bill? On the front side of 10 rubles, one of the symbols of Krasnoyarsk is depicted – the Communal Bridge. Then, and today, it is an object of cultural heritage of Russia. Right behind the bridge, in 1980, on the right bank of the Yenisei, the construction of the tallest building in the city, the Tourist Hotel, was completed, today it is the AMAKS City Hotel Krasnoyarsk.
So, when redrawing the panorama, our hotel got on the bill, along with the main sights of the city.
On October 16, 2023, the Central Bank of Russia released a news in which it announces a complete replacement of the design of banknotes and the release of new ones into circulation – until 2025. And what was our disappointment when Krasnoyarsk was not in the list of cities of "new" banknotes – another beautiful Siberian city, Novosibirsk, will take its place on the 10-ruble bill.
Nevertheless, AMAKS is proud that for more than 20 years our hotel has been the only one in Russia depicted on the bill. This is a truly large-scale achievement, and we would like to invite you, dear guests, to join our festive promotions.
We consider the charity event "10 rubles means a lot when we are together" to be our most important event. From November 6 to December 7, 10 rubles from each purchase in our souvenir kiosks will make at least a little closer the fulfillment of New Year's wishes for those who especially need it: after the end of the campaign, all the funds raised will go to buy New Year's gifts for children and adults from vulnerable social groups.
Also during this month, every guest who presents a 10-ruble bill with the image of the Communal Bridge and the AMAKS City Hotel Krasnoyarsk will receive a 10% AMAKS loyalty card.
