The Ust-Kachka resort has developed a rehabilitation program for cancer patients, which is a whole system of medical and psychological measures aimed at adapting to the new living conditions of the body resulting from the disease and treatment of a malignant tumor.
Rehabilitation programs with the appointment of various procedures are carried out by specialist oncologists, physiotherapists, exercise therapists, nutritionists and others.
Rehabilitation is based on an individual approach to each patient, taking into account the form, stage of neoplasm, age characteristics, psychological state of the patient and concomitant diseases.
The main condition for prescribing rehabilitation to cancer patients is the absence of tumor recurrence and metastases.
Taking into account the numerous wishes of our guests, the resort has developed a rehabilitation program for patients with cancer.
During rehabilitation in oncology, such sanatorium-resort factors are useful, which strengthen the immune system, improve metabolism, and improve the psychological and physical condition of patients. These include:
• Climate therapy and landscape therapy;
• Diet Therapy;
• Drinking treatment with mineral waters;
• Terrencourt (metered physical activity in the form of hiking, climbing in mountainous areas along certain marked routes);
• Classes in the pool;
• Indifferent isothermal baths.
Combined with medical treatment, sanatorium-resort treatment improves the general condition of patients, restores impaired functional parameters, increases efficiency, and helps to distract from a severe stressful situation.

Any disease is easier to prevent than to treat - this statement also applies to oncological diseases, so the resort has developed two diagnostic programs:
Comprehensive diagnostics includes:
• Doctor's consultation (in the direction of the study)
• Sampling of analyzes
• Ultrasound, ECG
Cancer patients often have persistent organic and functional disorders caused by the consequences and complications of surgical, radiation, chemotherapeutic, and hormonal treatment of neoplasms. There are complications from the hematopoiesis system (anemia, moderate leukothrombocytopenia), lesions of the skin and mucous membranes (radiation ulcers, rectitis, cystitis), disorders in the respiratory system (radiation pulmonitis, residual phenomena of empyema of the pleura, digestive organs, gastric stump gastritis, intestinal dyskinesia, chronic colitis and enterocolitis). Quite often, especially with endometrial, breast, and colon cancers, along with arterial hypertension and atherosclerosis, endocrine-metabolic disorders occur (obesity, diabetes mellitus, ovarian dysfunction, and thyroid dysfunction).
A common phenomenon for all cancer patients can be considered the presence of functional disorders of the nervous system as a result of severe emotional stress caused by receiving information about the tumor nature of the disease, staying in a specialized hospital, the consequences of extensive operations, sometimes involuntarily crippling, as well as long courses of chemotherapy, hormone therapy and radiation treatment. It should be emphasized that the drug therapy of tumors and radiation therapy itself can cause vegetodistonic and asthenic reactions. Treatment for concomitant diseases for patients with all forms and locations of tumors who have undergone radical treatment and do not have a return of the disease (relapses and metastases) is possible only after consulting an oncologist.
The attending physician of the sanatorium makes up an individual rehabilitation program for each oncological patient. The program may include: drinking treatment with mineral waters, phytotherapy and taking immunomodulators, diet therapy and enotherapy (wine treatment), physical therapy according to an individual program. According to indications, the program may include: iodine-bromine, marine, phytovanna, aromatherapy, therapy in a speleoclimatic chamber; microclysms with mineral water, psychocorrection and psychotherapy training.
ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Many natural physical factors (therapeutic mud, peat, ozokerite, hot baths and showers, radon, sulfide waters, general ultraviolet radiation, heliotherapy, the latter - especially in southern resorts in spring and summer), as well as general and thermal physiotherapy procedures can significantly stimulate the growth of malignant tumors and cause the progression of the underlying the process.
Therefore, they are absolutely contraindicated in all cancer patients, regardless of the end date of treatment.
The following are not subject to sanatorium treatment:
• patients of the II group of oncological dispensary registration who are subject to radical treatment, including those who have not completed adequate treatment;
• patients of the III group of oncological dispensary registration with suspected recurrence or metastasis of the tumor, until this suspicion is rejected;
• patients of the IV group of oncological dispensary registration (with a far-reaching tumor process, subject only to symptomatic treatment).
Sanatorium treatment is contraindicated in severe consequences of antitumor therapy.:
*severe postresection disorders after radical treatment of stomach cancer; * body weight deficiency of more than 10 kg;
*severe forms of thyroid and parathyroid insufficiency after parathyroidectomy;
*severe cardiopulmonary insufficiency,
*lymphatic edema of extremities of III-IV degrees,
*recurrent erysipelas on the background of secondary lymphedema of the extremities, * pronounced side effects of chemotherapy.
