Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis in the Ust-Kachka sanatorium

Today it has already been proven that spa treatment is the most effective way to treat seborrheic dermatitis.
In the Ust-Kachka sanatorium, each patient is treated individually: a special regime and nutrition are developed, such procedures as physical therapy, phototherapy and climatotherapy are prescribed.

Effective in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis are also iodine-bromine baths, SUVs, as well as the Dead Sea pool, which is prescribed every other day.

Contraindications:

  • Skin diseases in the acute and subacute stages.
  • Infections of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
  • Bullous violations.
  • Nail diseases of fungal etiology.
  • Systemic lupus erythematosus.
  • Photodermatosis, late porphyria, pigmented xeroderma in the summer.
  • Vasculitis.
  • Venereal diseases in the acute phase or in the phase of active treatment.

Treatment results

In patients who were treated at the Ust-Kachka sanatorium, the disease disappeared in 98% of cases.

Consequences of lack of treatment

In the absence of treatment, especially in conditions of immunodeficiency, seborrheic dermatitis can acquire a generalized course. Often, with this disease, external and middle otitis develops.
