Finnish sauna

The Finnish sauna is recommended for all healthy people, while the elderly, children should stay less in the steam room. The sauna maintains vitality, promotes the restoration of impaired functions, trains thermoregulatory mechanisms, improves the psycho-emotional state.

Under its action, the activity of the body's protective reactions, nonspecific immunity to diseases increases.

The procedure consists of constantly alternating effects of hot air (from 60 to 110 0 C) for 5-10 minutes, followed by short–term (3 to 12 minutes) cooling and rest (10 to 20 minutes).
The optimal air temperature in the sauna should be 70-90 ° C, humidity 5-10%. The total duration of stay in the steam room for the procedure should not exceed 20-25 minutes.

It is recommended to visit the sauna no more than 1-2 times a week.

Indications for use

Sauna use is recommended for hygienic, hardening, preventive and therapeutic purposes.

Contraindications

Various feverish conditions, blood diseases, diseases of the cardiovascular system, nephritis, severe atherosclerosis, acute stage of exacerbation of all diseases and various neoplasms, as well as epilepsy, sexually transmitted diseases in the infectious stage and varicose veins.
