Phonophoresis

Phonophoresis, also known as sonophoresis, is a method of treatment consisting in the combined effect on certain areas of the patient's body with ultrasound and solutions, emulsions or ointments, therapeutic mud applied to their surface. It is assumed that ultrasound helps the medicinal substance to penetrate deeper into the tissues. It is used for diseases of the joints and spine, urological and gynecological diseases.
