Ozokeritotherapy

Ozokerite is a natural fossil substance, a hydrocarbon belonging to the group of petroleum origin.

It is widely used in physiotherapy as warming compresses for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as for chronic inflammatory diseases.

The peculiarity of the procedure

Molten ozokerite is poured onto an oilcloth in metal cuvettes 5 cm deep. The dimensions of the cuvette correspond to the area of deposition of ozokerite. Cooling in the cuvette, the ozokerite turns into a 4-5 cm thick cake. A cake with a temperature of 50-60 ° C is removed from the cuvette along with an oilcloth and applied to the skin, a padded jacket is placed on top of the oilcloth or wrapped with a blanket.

Ozokeritotherapy procedures lasting 20-30 minutes are carried out every other day or daily. There are 10-12 procedures per course. After the procedure, you should rest for at least 30-40 minutes.

Indications for use

Ozokeritotherapy is effectively used for diseases of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, as well as collagenoses: scleroderma, dermatomyositis.

Contraindications

Ozokeritotherapy is contraindicated in various febrile conditions, neoplasms, blood diseases, diseases of the cardiovascular system, general atherosclerosis, epilepsy, pregnancy, acute inflammatory processes, venereal diseases and the acute stage of exacerbation of all diseases.
