Dry carbon dioxide baths are a procedure that provides a dosed intake of carbon dioxide into the body and at the same time gives a number of positive effects. Baths activate the function of the respiratory center, improve the passage of oxygen through the circulatory system, reduce blood pressure. Therapeutic modes of carbon dioxide concentration and its temperature depend on the specific condition of the patient. The procedures are carried out daily, for a course of 8-10 sessions.

Dry carbon dioxide baths are contraindicated in stable angina pectoris of functional class III; cardiac arrhythmias of the type of atrial fibrillation, frequent ventricular extrasystole; atrioventricular blockade; heart failure above stage II A; arterial hypertension of stage III; acute inflammatory phenomena in the bronchopulmonary apparatus and specific lung diseases; oncological diseases.
