UHF therapy is a method of electrotherapy based on the effect on the patient's body mainly of an ultra-high–frequency electromagnetic field. Wooden furniture is used for the therapy. During the procedure, the patient is in a sitting or lying position. The duration of UHF therapy is 10-15 minutes. The course of treatment includes 5-15 procedures, daily or every other day. The therapy has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects on various parts of the patient's body.
The procedure is effective in the treatment of various acute and chronic inflammatory processes of internal organs; dystrophic processes; diseases of the musculoskeletal system; ear, throat, nose; peripheral nervous system; female genital area.
Therapy is contraindicated in malignant neoplasms; blood diseases; cardiovascular insufficiency; pregnancy; hypotonic disease; presence of metal implants in the body (pacemakers, prostheses); pancreatic diseases; diabetic retinopathy; individual intolerance; lack of blood circulation; predisposition to bleeding; acute heart attack and stroke; feverish conditions in infectious diseases.
